ABOUT US

General Info

Our season runs from April through early June.  Generally the better the weather, the better the shooting.  Come prepared for any weather when spending time in Oregon's high desert in the spring.  You will be hunting pre scouted fields rich with targets.

Ground Squirrels AKA Sage Rats

The belding ground squirrel is a ground dwelling squirrel that is a pest to farmers and ranchers.  They litter fields with holes and consume large amounts of grass and alfalfa.  Being prolific breeders, they are a constant nuisance and a constant target for shooters.  Young offspring emerge from the ground as spring progresses and can dramatically increase the amount of targets available.   The high desert of Eastern Oregon is the heart of sage rat country.
